Now you can live life free of the fear of spiders.
The fear of spiders is an irrational fear within the unconscious mind, a phobia called Arachnophobia or arachnephobia. It may also apply to other arachnids such as scorpions.
The synonyms of the word fear include; anger, anxiety, concern, despair, dismay, doubt, dread, horror, jitters, panic, scare, suspicion, terror, unease, worry, abhorrence, agitation, aversion, consternation, creeps, distress, foreboding, fright, misgiving, nightmare, phobic, qualm, revulsion, timidity, tremor, trepidation, cold feet and cold sweats.
The negative emotion of fear has been created by your unconscious mind to protect you from threats and danger. Obviously, people fear being bitten by spiders. They see all spiders as dangerous.
The symptoms of a phobia may include;
- extreme anxiety
- shortness of breath
- rapid breathing
- irregular heartbeat
- excessive sweating
- dry mouth
- confused thoughts
- inability to articulate words or sentences
- a desire to run-away
These feelings are very real for the sufferer because the unconscious mind has activated the instinctive fear reaction.
While the logical and analytical conscious mind knows these animals are not dangerous to humans when behind glass, or on TV, the unconscious mind never-the-less reacts as if the threat is very real.
In the past therapists used archaic exposure methods called ‘desensitisation’, which were designed to cause strong abreactions in sufferers.
The theory, which often did not work, was that contant exposure to photo’s, dead spiders and live spiders would overcome the fear response. the result was often very traumatic and uncomfortable.
Another approach was to just talk about it, for hours at a time, day after day, week after week. Therapists made a fortune from all this talking, but it did little, if anything, for the sufferer.
Abreactions are strong, often disturbing emotional and even physical reactions to something re-experienced from the past, as if real. An abreaction could re-traumatize rather than achieve the desired healing, particularly if there is no experienced therapist present to ‘rescue’ the patient (when listening to an MP3 at home for example). Our Welcome subliminal messages are abreaction free, you can rest assured you are safe.
If you had a bucket of mud (representing negative emotions and behaviors), but you wanted a bucket of clean fresh water (representing positive emotions and behaviors), you could put the bucket of mud under a tap and run fresh clean water (representing subliminal affirmations) into the bucket. But it would take a long time, and you would still have a bucket of muddy water. That is an analogy of how most subliminal affirmation downloads currently available on the Internet work, or perhaps do not work. Peter Zapfella uses his one-on-one therapies to ‘throw out’ or delete the mud (representing negative emotions and behaviors) and then you can choose to use the ‘Welcome’ Subliminal Affirmations to quickly and efficiently refill the bucket with fresh clean water (representing positive emotions and behaviors). No mud! No spider phobia.
The old way to treat phobia’s was called ‘desensitisation’. It involved exposing the sufferer to the very thing that triggered their fear, over and over again. It risked re-traumatizing the patient, or making the problem even worse. The technique was expensive, time-consuming and often unsuccessful. However some therapists still use this archaic method.
I once had a very timid lady come to see me for her spider phobia. The phobia was so server for her that she would not leave the house. So when she came to see me her husband escorted her, just in case there were spiders in my garden.
At one point in the therapy I reached for something. She screamed and ran out of the room. Her husabd went after her, finding her some distance away in the street cowering in terror.
When she eventually returned she explained that other therapists had used photos, plastic spiders and dead spiders as a so called ‘desensitisation’ technique, that had only caused her further trauma.
The day after her one session with me she phoned to tell me that following her session she and her husband had gone out to an Indian resturant for dinner. She realised that not only had they not gone out to dinner in a very long time, because of the phobia. But she had walked past bushes that could have housed spiders, without a care. She noticed cracks in the resturant ceiling, which in the past would have sent her runninga way, because they could have contained spiders. Now her phobia was 100% gone and she did not care about spiders at all.
Most, if not all spider phobia challenges can respond well to one-on-one psychotherapy tailored to the individual, using Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), hypnotherapy and perhaps cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). That is why Peter Zapfella suggests you start with one-on-one therapy using Skype. The ‘Welcome life free of fear of spiders‘ MP3 is a resource used to ‘lock-in the unconscious shifts following one-on-one therapy with Peter Zapfella.
Everyone of us is unique. We have all had different life experiences and we react to them differently too. Of course you can ‘flip-it’ and try the ‘Welcome’ MP3’s first, and see if they are effective for you without therapy. If so, that’s great. If not go to skypetherapy.pro
Following one-on-one therapy for the spider phobia your unconscious mind has let the feelings of fear go and resolved the phobic reaction forever. Now ‘lock-in’ the confident, positive feelings beyond that old phobia forever.

Subliminal Affirmation Text:
“You take every reasonable precaution in spider habitats’ to avoid them, knowing they want to avoid you. They are interested in insects, not humans.
You can have calm and relaxed feelings about spiders, because any irrational fear of them has gone.
When you see spiders, you calmly control your reactions, because you are safe.
You are now more clear in the mind, more relaxed in the body, you are coping better with everything and everybody… including spiders…. You are more confident… you have greater self control… the way you feel is becoming better and better… because the burden has been lifted for ever and ever now that you are free of fear of spiders.”
