Some sensitive cynophobes may start to have symptoms when they start thinking about dogs, while another person is just fine until exposed directly with the real thing. For others a controlled dog on a leash is fine, it is a stay or uncontrolled dog that will cause them to suffer.Typically, a cynophobe begins to experience anxiety and significant dread when exposed to a dog, and will try to avoid the situation.
